An Evaluation Is More Than a Label.
It’s a Roadmap.

When challenges feel unclear, guessing creates more stress. A comprehensive evaluation provides insight into the underlying factors contributing to attention, learning, emotional, or developmental concerns.
Testing can help:

  • Identify the root cause of academic, behavioral, or emotional difficulties

  • Provide documentation for IEPs or 504 Plans

  • Provide the documentation needed for eligibility and support services

  • Guide therapy and treatment planning

  • Secure academic or workplace accommodations

  • Reduce uncertainty by replacing assumptions with data

What to Expect:
Our Four-Step Process

Step one

Initial Appointment

A clinical or developmental interview to understand history, concerns, and evaluation goals.

Step two

Step three

Step four

Assessment That Honors Your Language and Culture

Psychological testing is never one-size-fits-all. Cultural identity, language development, educational background, and lived experience all shape interpretation.

A core area of expertise is distinguishing between language differences and learning disorders. Each evaluation is conducted and interpreted with careful cultural and linguistic consideration to ensure accuracy and fairness.

About

Cognitive & Adaptive Functioning

Cognitive and adaptive testing measures how someone thinks, learns, and manages daily life skills side by side. For many families, this testing serves a specific purpose beyond a diagnosis: it provides the documentation needed to access services and support through a Community Centered Board, such as Rocky Mountain Human Services, Developmental Pathways, A & I Avenues in Boulder, or the Jefferson County Department of Human Services. A full directory of Colorado case management agencies is available here.

If a physician, case manager, or school has referred you for IQ and adaptive testing to support a Determination of Developmental Disability or waiver eligibility, this evaluation is designed to meet that need. Results are provided in a clear, well-documented report you can submit directly to your CCB.
